Update on the Proposed Mixed-Use Development on Elm Avenue

Several residents have asked about the status of the proposed mixed-use development project at the former industrial site on Elm Avenue in Lake Zurich. According to planning commission minutes from last month, the developer has submitted revised site plans that reduce the building height from 8 stories to 6 and add an additional 40 parking spaces below grade. A public hearing is scheduled for next month at city hall. Residents within 300 feet of the site will receive mailed notice, but all community members are welcome to attend and provide input.
